Why your sensory systems are the key to change

Do you experience?

• Anxiety, emotional overwhelm or have difficulty switching off?
• Depression, feel flat or emotionally numb?
• A mismatch between what you know intellectually and what you feel in your body?
• Your body bracing or tightening in situations that should feel safe?
• Challenges with chronic pain?
• Behaving irrationally, but you can't help it?
• A desire for balanced, healthy relationships?

If yes, then this webinar could help you.

Are you curious about how emotional and psychological trauma impacts the body?

The body doesn't rely on words to recall the past. It communicates with us using actions like tightening, bracing, collapsing, withdrawing, numbing, freezing, and holding.

It also sends signals to us through movements, sensations, pain, facial expressions, breathing patterns, and the rhythm of our heartbeat. Your body serves as a messenger, indicating which unresolved traumas from the past need your attention.

While certain behaviours might temporarily ease distress, it's only by fully completing the activation cycles linked to past stress, that genuine recovery and regulation can happen.

In this Webinar Learn

  • How our body communicates stored tension and past trauma with us
  • How the vagus nerve impacts all organs in the body and why it’s the epicentre of how the brain and body connect
  • To speak the language of the body and how it communicates stress activation and unresolved trauma
  • The importance of our brain's memory systems and how they have an ongoing top-down impact on the body that can keep us stuck in cycles of fear, anger, and reactivity
  • Why trauma can lead to pain, gut disorders, and immune issues
  • How to build nervous system capacity to overcome anxiety and chronic health issues
  • Why your sensory systems are the key to recovery to regulate the nervous system and for neuroplasticity in important regions of the brain
